The World Feels Dusty (coffee/lunchtime concert)
For mezzo soprano and piano - In the wake of climate and humanitarian crises heavily present in today’s society, this programme explores humanity in the context of our natural world. Framing this discussion is English and American song, including Vaughan Williams and Copland, interspersed with selections of Schubert’s Winterreise, highlighting the reality of nature as both the bringer and destroyer of peace. Can the same not be said for humankind too?
